MISSION

Our mission is to cultivate volunteerism and empower people through the formation and implementation of programs that create positive changes and make people take appropriate actions to become problem solvers.

YES is a passionate non-profit, voluntary, and grassroots youth-led development organization in Liberia. It was established in 2007 by innovative youth intention of empowering people to improve themselves and take positive actions that engender changes in their communities, nation and the world at large. Since its inception, YES has and continues to be primarily self-sponsored with over 100 volunteers in four counties.

YES helps people nationwide plan, propose and complete projects in areas like environmental conservation, sustainable development, human rights, education, health and agriculture

YES believes that people have solutions to the numerous and critical problems they are faced with; therefore, it is important to empower and enable people to seek for possible and positive remedies.

Youth Exploring Solutions (YES) provides a unique intervention and conduit the focus of making people become problem solvers and creating a new generation of tolerant and critical thinkers that would assist in rebuilding the broken fabrics of war-torn Liberia.

We have worked tirelessly without financial support from anywhere and yet we are struggling to survive using our limited resources to implement various programs and projects.

We’re leading national development efforts.

We are nurturing the leadership capacity of young people while empowering them to acquire quality education. We have engaged young people to effectively and meaningfully engage into development through volunteerism and self help initiatives.

We work across 4 counties in Liberia.

Youth Exploring Solutions works full time in Montserrado County and part-time in three counties in Liberia—namely: Gbarpolu, Lofa and Grand Bassa counties. YES hopes to expand its activities in other parts of Liberia, especially in remote areas and work with hard-to-reach groups.

Over 100 young men and women lead our work.

Our programs and activities are led by creative young people and young professionals from diverse backgrounds, who are volunteering their services to benefit their communities, nation and the world at large.
