YOUTH IN ADVOCACY PROGRAM

Our Goal

To create an environment that gets government and policy-makers committed to being involved, recognized and supported the active role of young people in society at all levels.

Our Objectives

• Mobilize and encourage young people to get involve in policy and decision making procedures that affect them;

• Coordinate with government, donors, private sectors and civil society actors to ensure youth are included and participating in decision-making at all levels;

• Form and participate in coalitions which engage government, donor and private sector actors in a sustained manner to ensure a clear youth agenda is being articulated, pursued and held to account;

• Bolster strong characteristics like self reliance, resiliency and pro-social skills by engaging youth in constructive discussions with family, school and community;

• Increase and share knowledge of intervention strategies to prevent youth at risk from engaging in criminal and/or gang activities
