MARY ANTOINETTE BROWN SHERMAN ACADEMIC AWARD

Our Goal

To inspire and recognize secondary school students who earn 85% and above semester or yearly average thereby cultivating academic excellence through the presentation of Academic Excellence Award. 

Our Objectives

• To promote and support academic excellence in secondary schools;

• To work with students, teachers, parents, and others to establish challenging but achievable school goals that promote academic achievement and the motivation that goes with it;

• To create the environment or condition for students who performed exceptionally well in their academic sojourn to obtain scholarship;

• To create acquaintanceship and promote unity in diversity among high school students;

• Demonstrate to students how motivation plays an important role in one own life, both professionally and personally;

• To encourage instructional programs that offer alternatives to traditional educational practices with the idea that they might be more effective in motivating students;

• To get parents and community dwellers involved in discussing the issue of academic motivation as a frequent topic.
